The Packing District, once the center of the region’s booming citrus industry, has been transformed to a foodie paradise.
Make sure to stop by the Packing House — the renovated 1919 former Sunkist citrus packing house built in Spanish Colonial Revival style now serves as an upscale food hall with craft cocktails, bars and live music. One of the few packing houses left in California, the building is on the National Register of Historic Places.
Nearby you’ll find the historic Center Street Promenade, a hip strip of artisanal restaurants and local shopping.
