X Games Ventura is Back!
The X Games are returning to Ventura this summer with improved viewing options, new medaled events, and greater experiences.
This year, the X Games Ventura will debut Women's BMX Park as a new medaled event, joining the previous lineup of BMX, Skateboard, and Moto X competitions.
There will be special musical guest performances, art installations, cultural activations, and immersive brand experiences to welcome fans back.

Special Trains Added to the Schedule
A special schedule will be in place for the X Games with two (2) extra daily train trips to Ventura. In anticipation of increased ridership, reservations for travelers will be required from June 28 to 30. Space is limited, so customers are strongly encouraged to plan ahead and book early to guarantee available tickets.
The following trains have been added to the schedule to support the X Games Ventura from Friday, June 28 to Sunday, June 30:
- Train 763 (Friday to Sunday) northbound, arriving to Ventura in the morning at 10:12 AM
- Train 798 (Friday and Saturday) southbound, departing Ventura at 10:38 PM
- Train 786 (Sunday) southbound, departing Ventura at 3:35 PM
During the reservation period, the Metrolink Rail 2 Rail and code share programs will be temporarily suspended on all regular schedule trains, resulting in Metrolink passes not being accepted on these dates. The programs will resume on July 1. However, Metrolink code share and Rail 2 Rail customers may ride the special event trains 763, 798, and 786 if space is available. Additionally, Pacific Surfliner ticketed customers may ride Metrolink special event trains M195, M196, M197, and M198, providing more flexible options for X Games attendees to travel to the event.
While reservations are required, passengers must ride the train listed on their tickets. If travel plans change, customers must adjust the reservation in advance of the scheduled departure. This can be done online at Amtrak.com, by phone at 800-USA-RAIL, or at a staffed Amtrak station.
The Rail 2 Rail program in San Diego County remains unaffected, allowing COASTER pass holders to travel during this period.
Ventura Station Parking
Due to the X Games event, parking will not be available from Saturday, June 22 – Tuesday, July 2, 2024. Consider boarding at the Oxnard Station, where free parking is available.
X Games Shuttles
The City of Ventura will have shuttles from several locations in Ventura: Ventura County Government Center, Pacific View Mall, a pay parking lot at Harbor/Seaward, the state beach parking lot and DeAnza Middle School.
Drop-offs/Pick-ups along Harbor Blvd
There will be no vehicle parking/waiting/standing allowed on Harbor Blvd from Saturday, June 22 – Tuesday, July 2, only drop-offs and pick-ups. Take Garden Street to access Harbor Blvd (will be a one-way street in this area). Between Monday, June 24 – Sunday, June 30, security and/or police will move vehicles along similar to an airline terminal if guests are not curbside and ready to load, but other than that, there will be no restrictions on access to the Amtrak platform for drop-offs and pick-ups along Harbor. Event days June 28-30 will take longer to access due to shuttles and other traffic, so riders should plan accordingly to allow for adequate time.

- Compare the train schedules to the event schedule. We have five roundtrips to Ventura each day. There are some good hotels in the area in case you’re planning to stay the night before heading home.
