Here's how to take advantage of the California Everyday Discount for seniors:
Via the booking widget
Use the booking widget to explore options and prices. Select your starting and ending stations, and check that "Senior" is selected in the promo code dropdown menu. Make sure "Adult" is selected as the passenger type.
Via the Amtrak website
Select “Adult” as your passenger type, then enter V282 into the promotion code field. Do not select "Senior" as your passenger type, as that will provide you with the national 10% discount instead. You can also purchase tickets by calling 800-USA-RAIL or visiting a staffed station and referring to Discount Code V282.
